A continuation of our popular “The Movie Musical” courses, “The New Age of Movie Musicals” focuses on the new style of movie musicals that we all love! Movie Musicals continue to be a staple of entertainment in households across the world.
Students will learn about advancements in the technology of film, movie musical stars of our decade, as well as gain new perspectives and analytic skills for critical viewing these movies. Some examples of new-age movie musicals include Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, Into The Woods, The Greatest Showman, and Cats!
Students do not need to have taken the first “The Movie Musical” course to join. All are welcome! Join us for a razzle dazzled early summer learning experience!

Courtney Braun is thrilled to be teaching PBS Adult Continuing Education classes. At graduate of Stony Brook University with a degree in Psychology, Courtney loves being able to explore the campus and the community of Stony Brook with others. She has been accepted to the School of Social Work and will be returning to SBU as a student as well. Courtney has a passion for the arts, traveling, food and all things Disney! We hope you consider joining us this semester. It is going to be wonderful!
