Our school consulting team offers the following services:

individual & family counseling

We provide support services directly to individuals and families with autism spectrum disorders and other special needs. 
Our family and individual consulting team offers the following services:
  • transition planning (teens)
  • person-centered planning 
  • self-determination (high school students and young adults) 
  • behavior support
  • social skills support 
  • community inclusion support
  • individual and family therapy
  • psychological testing and diagnostic assessment
We are on several insurance panels and are growing every day.

Under the direction of Dr. Kaarin Anderson Ryan, we also have a location in West Michigan on the Lakeshore, serving the greater Grand Rapids area and the lakeshore communities including Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Holland, and Muskegon.

Our West Michigan location offers the following services:
  • family and individual therapy (in-person and remote sessions are available)
  • supervision for BCBA fieldwork hours
  • supervision and consultation for new BCBAs
  • supervision for Michigan LLPs and TLLPs
  • professional development workshops for educational and clinical settings (see course catalog for options, or request a topic to be customized to your organizational needs).

Our team provides training to agency staff, education staff, and families on using positive behavior support in schools, homes and in the community. Training options include the following:

  • structured seminars
  • workshop series
  • professional development training
  • individual training and support (for students and their teams).
  • clinical supervision and professional development (for professionals and paraprofessionals who are faced with severe challenging behavior and include ongoing support, training, and feedback to develop effective solutions).

PBS CONSULTING is partnering with the CENTER FOR COMMUNITY INCLUSION and CELEBRATE EDU on this initiative for individuals who have graduated or aged out of high school.

PTW is a 2-year college campus-based experience with a strong focus on skills that lead to desired vocational outcomes.

Our Adult Continuing Education classes provide inclusion opportunities at local colleges, where Self-Directed learners
can become a part of the college community. Students interact with same-age, typical peers during the course of the
school day, in the context of lunch, learning, special interest groups, events, athletics, and/or internships.

Educational experiences focus on practical and functional skills of everyday living such as Budgeting & Finance and Self Advocacy. Additionally, students may explore new interests in a variety of topics such as Art Appreciation, World Cultures, Disability in Film or the Evolution of Hip Hop. New classes are added each semester.

We provide clinical supervision and professional development opportunities to professionals and paraprofessionals who are faced with severe challenging behavior. These services include ongoing support, training, and feedback to help develop positive and effective solutions for the challenging behaviors.
We are an approved practicum site for several universities.

​PBS is pleased to be able to provide a variety of trainings for parents and professionals addressing the most critical issues pertaining to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. We offer a broad range of topics that can be delivered online or in person.  We continue to update our course offerings on an ongoing basis, and can provide trainings for larger groups onsite, or for smaller groups at the PBS corporate office in Northport, NY. The approximate duration of each training is noted in the course description, although any training can be tailored in length or scope to meet your particular needs. New trainings can also be developed on topics that are not listed here.
