This online class will be discussing the history and current state of professional wrestling. We will be talking about wrestling as a physical sport and also the athlete’s persona and performance. Our timeline will talk about how it all started and transformed into the spectacle we all know today! From electrifying performances to out of this world moves, a lot goes into creating this magnificent show we see.
We will discuss and go deep into the understanding of this form of entertainment and learn about true character development.
The curriculum will cover:
· The History of Wrestling
· The different era’s of the sport
· Persona’s and gimmicks
· Fundamentals
· Promos
· AND MUCH MORE!
There is much to learn through wrestling, from building character and life lessons to building a creative outlet, the possibilities are endless! Hopefully, I get to see you all this semester and we could learn and enjoy this topic together!

Vincent Gamboni has a Masters Degree in Behavioral Analysis from Queen College and is currently working as an LBA intern with Positive Behavior Support Consulting & Psychological Resources. He has worked in the Self-Determination field for over 12 years as a support counselor, ABA therapist, behavior technician, parent trainer, job coach and community habilitation counselor. Since he was 6 years old he has been watching wrestling and has been an avid fan, going to multiple shows a year. From Stone Cold to RVD, he has loved many characters from each organization. Vince has recently taught continuing education courses online in topics such as Anime & Manga, DC and the Marvel Universe, and Self Advocacy. Each experience for him is exciting and engaging.
