This online class is geared towards one of pop culture’s most iconic symbols …. Pokémon!
Students will learn the history of Pokémon from its origins and its evolution as a staple in pop culture. Topics will include:
Students will learn the history of Pokémon from its origins and its evolution as a staple in pop culture. Topics will include:
- the history of Pokémon
- trading cards, figurines, and games
- film and television
- musicals and Pokémon GO
- PokéPark
- influence on the culture
- and much more!

Vincent Gamboni: Vince is passionate about anime, cosplay, fictional universes and more. Vincent regularly goes to fandom events, dressing as some of his favorite characters from the universes (like Bane and Deadpool). Vincent has received his Masters in ABA and has been working with individuals with autism for over 12 years. He has worked as a Community Habilitation Worker, ABA therapist, Autism Specialist, Consultant and has taught multiple classes for PBS. Vincent looks forward to working with every single one of his students each semester!
