This online class is geared towards one of pop culture’s most iconic symbols …. Pokémon!
Students will learn the history of Pokémon from its origins and its evolution as a staple in pop culture. Topics will include:
  • the history of Pokémon
  • trading cards, figurines, and games
  • film and television
  • musicals and Pokémon GO
  • PokéPark
  • influence on the culture
  • and much more!
There is so much to learn and students will also be given opportunities to create their own trainers, characters, and storylines, in addition to finding out how their favorite franchise has grown. Hopefully, I will get the opportunity to teach and explore this topic with all of you this semester!
