This course will examine endangered animals & species around the globe, including Giant Pandas, Asian Elephants, Tigers, Blue Whales, Gorillas, Bumble Bees, and more. Students will learn about what it means to be an endangered species and closely look at and discuss the following subjects:
  • Each animal’s natural environment and habitat
  • Important facts about each animal
  • Why is the animal endangered? What are they most wanted for or are there significant changes in their environment, for example.
  • Why are these animals important to their natural habitat?
Students will share thoughts on how and why these animals are endangered, and share creative ways to promote change that might save these animals. As a classroom project, students will plan and design their own rescue missions.
