Music is a universal language that allows the listener to enter a person's life through the story told in the verses. From the lyrics written to the way instruments are used to evoke an emotional response, music allows us to connect to artists, and to each other.
This class will be discussing music across various genres, including pop, hip hop, rock, jazz, country and more. We will discuss metaphors in music and how lyrics and instruments work together to connect us to what events are depicted in the songs. Songs allow us to experience a moment in time without actually having to be there!
